Daffodils and a New Lens

April 09, 2021  •  Leave a Comment

Finally getting the latest stimulus money allowed me to pick up a lens I've been wanting for a while. The RF 85mm f/2 IS Macro STM is not an expensive lens by Canon RF standards. It's also only a half macro lens. And f/2 is not the kind of fast that makes people go "wow". But, after one outing with it, I'm impressed and very glad that I spent almost half the stimulus money to obtain it.

I already have the 35mm equivalent and I can have each of them on one of my EOS RP bodies. I used that setup at Oakwood Cemetery this morning and ended up getting more than 50 images added to the Oakwood gallery.

First, are shots from each lens showing the two focal lengths. The next four images are with the 35mm lens followed by four with the 85mm lens.
