Van Schaick Island, Cohoes, NY

It was a nice sunny morning for a walk, if a bit chilly at 26 degrees. I carried an EOS RP body with the RF 35mm f/1.8 IS STM lens. 

It was my frequent 3 mile, 3 county walk. Here are some images I made of Van Schaick Island which is in the City of Cohoes, the Albany County portion of the walk. The island separates the Mohawk and Hudson rivers and does not lie in either one of them.

The old buildings are part of Matton Shipyard, now part of Peebles Island State Park, even though it's actually on Van Schaick Island. You can read more about the shipyard and plans for future use of the property at
