It's been three years since I've been able to photograph the boats arriving at Waterford Harbor for the Tugboat Roundup. This year the weather was great although the number and variety of boats was disappointing. I suspect 9/11 remembrances in New York City kept some downstate boats from making the trip up the Hudson River.
I used only the 70-300mm lens and it worked out well. High water kept me from my usual shooting location on the "beach" at Peebles Island but the bridge over the Mohawk River is an equally good vantage point. Here are some samples.
