Adirondack Lakelife
I went for a walk this afternoon and carried my 5DS R and Sigma 28mm f/1.4 lens. At 2:00 PM this time of year the sun is very high and a polarizer filter is effective at decreasing reflections in the region of the horizon thus darkening skies and water and emphasizing clouds.
The sky will not be a uniform color if the lens is too wide but 28mm is not quite wide enough for that to be a problem. I forgot to adjust the filter for a different direction for one of these shots which left the sky a bit less saturated.
